Shettars Brought Down on Sadanada Gowda
People of Karnataka witness a new low in State Politics. Kannadigas have never seen a more putrid state of politics where leaders are openly expressing their greed to gain power.
BJP has proved that even the so called ‘disciplined’ party with Nationalist Ideologies inspired by          Jan Sangh and The RSS is a mute bystander and even an abettor in the crime of inter-community politics. Then how can the common man of Mr. R K Lakshman expect them to fair to all people in the Nation with no bias to caste or community or religion? The answer is he cannot expect so.
Today the Lingayats have won the battle over the Vokkaligas. But what has an average Kannadiga got to do with all this? Why should he bear the brunt of the rapidly changing weather of State Politics?  Ever since BJP has started ruling this state all we have seen is a Temple-Hopping Chief Minister who has no time for his people but ha enough time in cutting shady deals with entrepreuners in lieu of monetary gain.
The National President , in the wake of numerous complaints against Mr. Yediyurappa, came and said Vini Vidi Vici. He gave a clean chit to The Yediyurappa administration. Either he was lying then about the clean governance or he was totally inefficient in judging the seriousness of the allegations because people accused him no more than what the CBI and CEC found later to be true. Anyway he later proceeded to have a more-than- very grand wedding for his son. The proof that he failed the people of Karnataka in removing Yediyurappa then was that Yediyurappa got arrested and went to Jail.
But Gadkari Saab, do you seriously believe that the storm raised by a few rebels has blown over and that you can rest assured? Many do not think so. A man whom you dislocated from the Chief Minister’s post without assigning any reason will be baying for blood, the forever smiling Sadanada Gowda being no exception. Any self-respecting man would do so. If the out-going CM and a few of his independent pals decide to bring down the government they can do so and many think that this is the most likely outcome.
Even if that does not happen, Yediyurappa will not be happy ever because history has a habit of repeating itself. Shettar may now have agreed to be a rubber-stamp CM on policy matters but like Gowda he to is going to distance himself from Yediyurappa. Now there is no threat to the CM’s post from the Lingayats because the incumbent CM would also e a Lingayat. If Shettar can win the Community and The ‘Math’s over then Yediyurappa can say good-bye to politics and will be a loner as he has already lost the loyalty of Shobha Karandlaje.
After this The BJP can say good-bye to Karnataka Politics in a situation where people are tired of Seeing constantly changing heads of government. They are less unhappy with the rule of a party Like JDS  or Congress where the High Command is far more potent in reigning in dissent within the party.
