PREDICTIONS THAT HAVE COME TRUE

Earlier in m y blog I had predicted that the reason BJP would sacrifice its pet lamb in Karnataka was only to ask for the King's head in Delhi and check-mate Congress. As I am writing this blog , a heated debate is on in the Parliament where members of the opposition are pouncing on the ruling party and asking for Three Heads: Those of the PM, Chidambaram and Shiela Dixit.
My other prediction on Karnataka BJP status is yet to come true. i.e. BJP will start warring within its factions and would collapse on itself. Now the factions have bought peace and are in a truce mode. But knowing our politicians' infinite capacity for greed, truce won't last forever. It is a matter of time before one of the two factions draws first blood. Just wait and watch. Or they would say in the yester years " Mundina Katheyannu Paradeya mele nodi anadisiri" ( Watch the whole story on the cinema screen and enjoy.).
Progression of events would be like this: Yeddy will lose control over Sadananda Gowda and the Reddy Bros will spew venom over Yeddy as he would have failed them. Yeddy will remain a loner and HD Kumaraswamy will take advantage of the situation have talks with Shettar/ Eeshwarappa faction and topple BJP govt. As it is many MLAs are dissatified with the choice of Gowda as the CM.
Wonder what the Reddy Bros. are up to these days. It is too a matter of time before they start squabbling among themselves as to who was responsible for their political demise. With almost no mining activity going on, the bros are rendered jobless and for time-pass they have to fight with one another.
Reminds me of Kanakadasa's immortal words: Yaaru Sangada Baahorilla (No one walks with you (when you depart)).

How Long can a Rubber-Stamp Last?

It is now evident in Karnataka Politics that a rubber-stamp chief minister with absolutely no administrative experience whatsoever is going to rule the roost. Why doesn't Eeshawarappa call him a 'Bachcha' (viz. Renukacharya)? How can a man who does not know the difference between a Home Secretary and a Chief Secretary be made the head os a State Government? But one good thing has emerged from this decaying matter of Karnataka Politics. Now a Lingayat Player will be ruling the state through a Gowda from Dakshina Kannada in a Lingayat-Politician Majorty environment. This is truly National (or should I say state) Integration.
Now that the War Lines have been drawn two things can happen:
One, Eeshwarappa, however pacified he may seem, is undoubtedly baying for blood. So are the Reddy brothers for having being kept out of the power sharing equation. Also are Ananth Kumar Jagadish Shettar et al. Not to forget Basavraj Bommai for that wrap on the knuckle (or slap on the face for that matter). These will be waiting for that exact moment where, they feel, Sadanand Gowda commits a political error and then they will pounce on him.
Or
Two,The Rubber-stamp effect will wear out and Mr. Sadananda Gowda will be a new-found Tiger if the Reddy Bros. & Co commit themselves to help him in by-passing Yediurappa.So in spite of having his way our Yeddy is sure to spend sleepless nights all through the remainder of the term of the party governance.

Do you remember Emperor Ashoka (before the Kalinga war i.e)? He too spent sleepless nights fearing one or all of his brothers would kill him and he ended up killing them all.Here the killing may not be physical (I sure hope so!), but there will be attempts from both sides for Political (not physical) Assassinations. Eventually the party like a dying giant star will collapse on itself and will become a big black hole and will not be heard of for a long long time. Cheers to that.
The BJP which, as it is, is deficient in able national leadership which enjoys the respect of all its members, is faced with a new dilemma. The Choice is between the Devil and The Deep Blue Sea. Choose Yeddy and gang, you'll lose loyal party workers who are older and politically more mature than Mr. Loose Pants. On the other side, if they choose loyalists, Yeddy will throw a tantrum like a child who has not been given candy in a candy store and bring the 'house' down.
By the way, did any one see Venkaiah Naidu's Laptop? Seems like he had it when he went in and didn't when he left the negotiations. Sympathies. May be Prerana Trust can donate him one.

Atma-Shuddhi

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! This is not a sound of adulation. This is the sound of retching and vomiting one suffers from when he looks around his political environment. Yeddy without his chaddi, A weak Raja with his weak (or otherwise) defense alleging the PMO and HMO knew about the wrongdoings in his office, Two chief-ministers being pulled up by a vigilance body for impropriety. Packs of Ministers hounding one father-figure or another to get Yeddy's place. Swamijis telling parties that a person from a particular caste or community should be made chief-minister because of the majority the caste/community enjoys in the cabinet and among the MLAs, another swami who hides crores and crores worth gold and silver in his bedroom and so on and so forth. There is no doubt that the religious bodies, wheteher it is Saibaba's Ashram or Ashrams in Karnataka, have strong influence on the polity of this country and state. Businessmen too are not above suspicion. From Jindals (who are mentioned in the Karnataka Lokayukta's indictment report) to someone who always enjoyed a clean image like Mr. Ratan Tata, businessmen are alleged to have had clandestine deals with the politicians for personal gains.
During the droughts and the floods that followed in North Karnataka, state government mercilessly hounded business establishments and individuals all over the state first for contributions towards drought-relief and then for Flood-relief. It came with a warning of 'or else'. Buildings were razed in the name of lack of authorization, service-houses like restaurants were raided by city corporation officials and businesses were shut down on one pretext or the other. The big question is, was all well just before the drought/flood occurred that there was a sudden spurt in Karnataka Government's action against unauthorized activity? Or was it just arm-twisting tactics to extract money in the name of flood/ drought relief? Any one who is in touch with the current events knows how many flood-victims actually benefited from the relief funds.
Now that the Bharatiya Janata Party has sacrificed it's pet lamb in Karnataka, it is evident that it is only to ask for the head of a bigger game in New Delhi. Otherwise what did they find now in Lokayukta's report that Nitin Gadkari was not appraised of during his previous 'Save- Yediyurappa' Mission where he gave a clean to yeddy and lauded the Yedddy-led government and its achievements? The Mining scam then could have only been a couple of thousand crores smaller.
Now The Big Question from me is (please answer the question with a YES, NO or a MAYBE):
If You Were Yediyurappa, Or A Raja Or Kanzhimoli (if you prefer to be the fairer sex) and were lured by these scamster businessmen with thousands of crores of rupees in bribe, would you say "NO, I don't want it, It is Immoral and It is Illegal."?
I Don't need to know your answer but it is time for some atma-shuddhi.
